中信金融管理學院專任助理教授
美國明尼蘇達大學小號演奏音樂藝術博士。音樂教育啟蒙於母親陳淑琴女士，高中期間，加入康倫彰老師帶領的台北市立華江高中管樂社，正式接觸小號，此後便與音樂結下不解之緣。先後師事蔡明昆老師、聶中興教授、林昭成教授。就讀嘉義大學期間，榮獲2004年台灣音樂比賽大專個人A組小號獨奏優等殊榮。2007年，考取美國北科羅拉多大學(University of Northern Colorado)攻讀小號演奏碩士，師事Dr. Robert Murray、Dr. Steve Marx。
2010年，獲得美國明尼蘇達大學(University of Minnesota – Twin Cities)獎學金攻讀音樂藝術博士學位，師事小號演奏暨教育家大衛．鮑德恩博士(Dr. David Baldwin)。回台至今，積極參與國內各式優秀樂團演出：大台中愛樂管樂團、嘉頌重奏團、嘉義聯合管樂團、台南市交響樂團、台灣獨奏家交響樂團、高雄市立交響樂團….等等。亦全心投入音樂教育傳承，培育更多喜愛音樂的新生代，現為專任中信金融管理學院中信室內樂團專任助理教授、國立台南大學音樂系小號助理教授以及嘉頌重奏團小號團員，並於嘉義、台南地區擔任各級中小學校小號指導以及指揮工作。
Dr. Chieh-Fan Chang, born in Taipei, Taiwan, began playing piano alongside his mother, Shu-Chin Chen at a very young age. During high school, Chang joined a student wind ensemble led by Lun-Chang Kang. Chang began studying trumpet under Mr. Ming-Kun Tsai. Afterwards, Chang studied trumpet under Chung-Xin Nieh, associate trumpet professor at the Soochow University.
Chang received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in trumpet performance under direction of Dr. Zhao-Chen Lin at the National Chia-Yi University. Meantime, he won the first prize of the Taiwan Music Competition in 2004. He received his Masters of Music degree in trumpet performance under Dr. Robert Murray, Dr. Ron Brooks, and Dr. Steve Marx at the University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Chang holds his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in trumpet performance under the direction of Dr. David Baldwin at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Over these years, he has been actively engaged in various opportunities of performance in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area with a number of Minnesota-based ensembles, including the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Mankato Symphony Orchestra, and Compass Rose Brass Ensemble. Also, he served as a music faculty member in the Yinghua Music Conservatory and the David Thomas – School of Music. In addition, he served as a recording technician at the Lloyd Ultan Recital of the University of Minnesota.
Since moving back to Taiwan, Dr. Chang actively engages various music performances with numerous significant music groups. Also, he devotes himself in the music education field. Now, he is serving as an assistant professor at the CTBC Financial Management College, and a trumpet member in Chiasong Ensemble. Additionally, he serves as a part-time assistant professor at the Department of Music, National Tainan University.
